Dear Eliza

Dear Eliza is a brutal and exposing analysis of a friendship under the strain of mental ill health and the fear of being a burden. Raw and cynical, yet rich with playful allegories, this short 1-person play is very much about confronting unexpressed emotions within relationships, and saying out loud what you’d rather keep inside your head.

Previous Reviews

A hidden gem of Greater Manchester Fringe. — Lostintheatreland Absolutely superb piece of work with an expertly delivered performance, the intricacies and emotional beats are all portrayed with finesse and the ending is a complete subversion of an expected portrayal. An incredibly powerful piece sharply interrogating the current societal conversation around mental illness. Barbara’s performance has you hooked on every word, the light and shade of the script expertly brought to life onstage.
